Day trip to Russia

The Tension of Europe Lappeenranta 2006 conference will spend one day literally crossing a border - and visiting the old Finnish town of Vyborg, which is now located in Russia.

We will leave early in the morning by bus for a full experience of the border controls. In Vyborg, Russia, we will have lunch in the famous Round Tower and then move to Aalto Library for the sessions. After the sessions there will be some time reserved to walk in the city. Our return trip will be cruise through the Saimaa Canal back to Lappeenranta, during which dinner will be served on board. We also recommend the trip for the accompanying persons.
