From Helsinki-Vantaa airport by bus to the railway station:
From Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport there is a bus connection to Helsinki city centre. The Finnair City Bus to the railway station (in the city centre) leaves about once in every half an hour. The bus departs from the International Terminal (T2) and then drives by the Domestic Terminal (T1).
Bus fare is 5.20 euros.

From Helsinki to Lappeenranta by train
There is a direct train connection from Helsinki Railway Station to Lappeenranta. From the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, first take the Finnair City Bus to the Centre City terminal at the Helsinki Central Railway Station.
The train ride takes 2 1/2 hours. One way ticket is 35,60 € for an Intercity train and 41,40 € for SuperSpeed Pendolino.

From the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, take either the Finnair City Bus to the Helsinki central bus station or a direct Express bus to Lappeenranta.
The trip takes about 4 hours and costs 33,60 €.

FROM ST. PETERSBURG BY TRAIN:
From the St. Petersburg Airport take the taxi to the Ladozhski Railway Station, Centre city of St. Petersburg.
Trains from St. Petersburg to Lappeenranta (closest station: Vainikkala Railway Station). The trip takes about 3 hours. One way ticket costs about 30 €. From Vainikkala take a shuttle bus to Lappeenranta, one way ticket 5€.
